EZ Flower & Floral Design

Creating sympathy designs can be a wonderful way to express your design skills, while giving your client a beautiful way to honor their loved one.  Some people shudder at the thought of making floral displays for those that are deceased, but I have always looked at this as I am the one that is lucky enough to have been chosen to create the last gifts that represent this person in their life.  When first speaking to the client always get a feel for what the deceased was about.  Did she love to garden?  Was he an avid fisherman?  When your client sees how much you care, they will feel so much better and will trust your work and decisions. Next it is important to see if the client knows which flowers or colors were their loved one’s favorites. If their is no knowledge of this, then suggest types and/or colors that will go with the style selected. With the freedom to select the flowers, you’re able to utilize that which is at hand to use your expertise to the convey the feeling wanted. Absorb this information, and know that it is a key factor in continuing your floral journey.
